Seeking information regarding the death of Eliza (KNIFONG) KENLEY, wife of Hiram KENLEY, born 1852-53, in Missouri. She disappears from the census between 1880 and 1890, when Hiram appears with a new wife, Margaret, who turns out to have been a Mrs. Margaret A. TIPTON. Margaret had a daughter from her first marriage, and I believe Hiram and Margaret had a daughter together. Hiram and Eliza had five children. Liza appears in the census as 'Lisa' and on Hiram's death certificate his deceased wife is listed by their son John as 'Eliza Jane', while all other references to her I've found list her as 'Eliza A.', 'Eliza Ann' or 'Elizabeth'. I would like also to know what happened to Margaret, as she is not mentioned on Hiram's death
certificate. Hiram died October 10, 1920, in Sullivan County, Missouri.

Robert H. COTTER married Martha A. BROWNING in 1870s Sullivan County, Missouri. The couple had a son named James William, born in 1882, probably in Linn County, Missouri. James married Anna Lee KENLEY, born in 1883, in Sullivan County, daughter of Hiram KENLEY and Eliza A or J. KNIFONG. James and Anna migrated with their children to Walla Walla County, Washington, Lane County, Oregon and Stanislaus County, California. Any personal information or anecdotes about this family will be greatly appreciated for a family history I'm writing.
