Hi, looking for any possible information on Martin Gillen Born 1845 Ireland but no idea where in Ireland, his death in Leeds 1917. There are a number of siblings.
As far as I am aware his parents were James Gillan Born 1817 Ireland Mary Murphy Born 1820 Ireland.
Martin Gillen married Eliza Jane Briggs born 1845 of Methley Marr 7/4/1863 Leeds.
and possibly a Mary Holmes Born 1850-Marr 1883 Leicestershire and finally my Great Grandmother Martha Ann Schofield Leeds. Marr 1891 Widow and Widower.
The name Gillen appears as Gillen/Gillan on certificates. The names Dunwell and Pinkney are linked with this name.

Littlewood family of Honley, Almondbury, Holmefirth, my Great grandfather Johnson Littlewood and his wife Mary Jane Parker, he was born in Honley 1836, I have traced a number of Littlewoods but still have gaps, unable to tie them together. I have managed to get back to 1625 when the Littlewoods travelled from Sheffield to Honley, they continued to live in Honley until my grandfather who was born in Leeds June 1880 William Thomas Littlewood.
Charles Littlewood born 16/8/1796 (Parents John L & Sarah Potter-Honley)trying to confirm if he married Elizabeth France 1831 Almondbury.
I have lots of questions but any help on this would be good.
