I am descended from Mary Ann HODGE, b.c.1827 to Jane & Edward HODGE, in Cornwall, England. She married William MOYLE, [b. 1824] in Helston, 24 Jan 1849 & they had 2 children: William Henry MOYLE & Jane MOYLE, before emigrating to Australia on "AUGUSTA SCHNEIDER" in 1852.

They had more children in Australia.

I would like to share & exchange information about Mary Ann HODGE'S family in Helston, Cornwall, England. and Her mother Jane, was a laundress, born in Sithney late 1790s.

I'm descended from Benjamin FORD [b.1835 Bandon Ireland] who emigrated to Australia, settled in Moyston, married Alice EDWARDS and had 16 children.

One child, Benjamin FORD, jr. [b.1880 Moyston, Vic.] went to New Zealand, married Catherine Ada TULLEY & had about 9 children. Would like to share info & photos with any New Zealand descendants.

My gr. gr. grandfather's name was Joseph DERBYSHIRE.

Joseph was b. abt. 1831, Cheadle, Cheshire, England. He married Hannah ADAMS who was born Oswestry, Shropshire, abt. 1832.

Joseph & Hannah had two boys: John DERBYSHIRE b.1859 and Thomas DERBYSHIRE b.1861, both in Rusholme, Lancs.

John DERBYSHIRE, [Joseph's 1st son] married Edith EVANS [b.abt.1866, Oswestry] in 1899, Denbighshire.
They had no children, but adopted a boy. Is it possible to find any details of adoptions in the UK?

Thomas DERBYSHIRE, [Joseph's 2nd son] married Annie LORD [b.1864 Manchester] and they had 5 children, one of whom was my grandmother, Lilian DERBYSHIRE. Lilian married Joseph Patrick FORD (an Aussie) & at the end of WWI, came to live in Australia with their son Benjamin.
