I have been researching my paternal line Feeney since
2006.I started with sending away for my grandfather's
birth certificate.Name of child Michael Feeney, child of
mother 4, date of birth 7 Apr 1891.Place of birth 550 6th
ave. 22 ward; mother's name Ellen Garvey age 26.
Name of Michael J Feeney, age 37, father's occup lather.
My grandfather was an orphan in St. Malachy's with his
sister Margaret born 19 Mar 1887 and brother born 11 Aug
1889.I have sent away for my greatgrandfather's death
certificate age 39 yrs. 8 days.birth place Ireland.Years
in the country 30yrs.According N.Y. 1892 State Census
it has born in U.S. and my grandfather's birth
certificate says he was born in N.Y.
Occup lather, father and mother's birthplace Ireland.
Place of death 550 6th ave.Date of death 16 Feb 1893.
When I went to Holy Cross Cemetery I found out he was
buried with his best man Eskine M Griffith who died
7 Feb 1893.I sent away for his wife Mary's death
certificate and found out she was a Feeney.She was born
14 Sept 1841 and died 8 Nov 1923.I am not sure if she was
my greatgrandfather's sister.Her father's name was
Michael and her mother' name was Mary Ever's or Egan.
I have had my DNA tested and I am hoping more Feeney
males will get there DNA tested to break Brick Walls.
