Looking for Eleanor BOLGER of Dublin Ireland and Canada
Eleanor (Ellen) BOLGER (1818-1901) was one of four brothers and one sister named Josephine BOLGER. Her father, Mr. Bolger was a ship's chandler, native of County Cork, Ireland and they lived in Dublin, Ireland. He emigrated with his family to Canada to purchase land perhaps late 1820s or 1830s and had income when he left Ireland. He bought land near Londontown, Ontario, Canada for the purpose of foresty although none of the BOLGER men knew anything about building or weilding an axe, and it made for tense times. The family was Irish Catholic. Eleanor BOLGER was born abt 1818 if you believe her census, or abt 1825 if you believe family legend in possibly Carlow, Ireland. Eleanor married William DONNELLY (1813-1873) in Warwick, Lambton, Ontario, CA. about 1839 when she was only 14 years old. They had 14 children in Sarnia, Lambton, Ontario CA. Her sister, Josephine BOLGER married someone in St. Louis, Missouri, USA and we lost that relation.
Hoping to find any of the siblings or parentage for Eleanor Bolger.
