Searching for Hancocks that came from Devon to Newfoundland between 1820 and 1850. I suspect that they were fishermen. They may have arrived via Prince Edward Island, Canada. My Great Great Grandfather was James Hancock born around 1824, some where in Devon. Trying to locate a parish to start searching from. Interested in contacting any Hancocks that might be connected to my Hancocks.
