My research has hit a brick wall with Amon C. SELF. He was b Nov 1818 supposedly in Blount County, Alabama although there is no proof of that. Several researchers think he is the son of Elijah and Sarah FLETCHER SELF.
Again no proof he is son or if he is their son then is he the twin of Andrew Anderson Jackson SELF who was b 3 Nov 1818? Amon C. SELF m Mary Emmaline SAFFELL abt 1844 probably in Mississippi, again no record found. They were the parents of 7 children. Amon d 18 Dec 1881 at Self, Boone Co., Arkansas. Any information about Amon no matter how trivial would be greatly appreciated.
