What a great outcome for me and my family!!
I have been able to make contact with a relative on my Grandfather's 1st wife's side of the family.
Her name was Nellie Bluett.
This is wonderful news for us all !!
My are going to meet together soon in Auckland, so if anyone else has a connection, please contact me on this site, or email:
Irihapeti's husband was John Horton Mckay.
Their eldest child Marian was born at Kahawai on the Manukau Harbour in 1838.
Robert Oliphant Stewart married Marian in 1858. They had 7 children.
Their youngesty son, Alfred Herbert Oliphant Stewart was my Grandfather.
Any information on any of the above would be much appreciated.

I would like some information about Marion Mckay and her husband Robert Oliphant Stewart ( my great grandfather) who resided in Whakatane in the late 1980"s
Whoops, I said 1980's instead of 1890's. A BIG difference !!!
