Reflections on Family Tree Circles
Journals and Posts
Thomas Constant PAGET MORTON (1788 - 1867) and Eliza THOMSON MAY CHAPPELL (1795 - 1867) were both born Appledore, Devonshire England and died Port Macquarie NSW Australia. Thomas, Eliza and family immigrated to Australia in 1833. Thomas was a retired Naval Commander by then and some of Eliza's family also served in the Royal Navy. They were married in 1814 Northam, Devonshire England. If any one has any information on their ancestry in England it would be greatly appreciated. I have quite a lot of information on their descendants.
Alexander HENDERSON was born in Scotland 16 Aug.1796 and was named John Alexander Henderson? Possibly the son of James Henderson and Agnes CAIRN or CAIN.
Agnes GRAHAM was the daughter of George GRAHAM and Mary COLTART? According to the Parish Records of Kirkunzeon, Scotland Agnes was baptised 9 Sept.1802.
Alexander and Agnes HENDERSON (Nee: Graham) were married in 1820 at Kirkunzeon, Scotland. Indications are that Alexander was also using the name HETHERINGTON around this time?
Alexander was a teacher of music in Edinburgh in 1834 and by 1851 the family were living in Kensington, London. Here his occupation was
that of Classical Tutor/Teacher/Teacher of Languages.
Looking for the ancestry of Alexander HENDERSON and Agnes GRAHAM.
Looking for Mary DEAN (1849 - 1914) the daughter of George DEAN and Elizabeth SPARGO. Mary was born Windsor NSW Australia and settled in Glen Innes NSW after her marriage in 1874 to Thomas DAVY (1853 - 1937). Any information on Mary's family would be much appreciated.
Looking for information on Carl William SCHULZ/SCHOLZ (son of Vilhslm SCHULZ and unknown)born in 1865 Hannover West Germany. Carl immigrated to Australia and at the time of his marriage (in 1888) to Christina Wilson COSH was a schoolmaster at Broken Hill, NSW. He was naturalised in Australia and then became more commonly know as Charles Leslie SCHOLZ.
Carl was also a Consulting Engineer and Mining Inspector Ph.D. and many years later left Australia for England and set up a business in London . . . and in this capacity travelled the world. He was last heard of during the latter part of WWI. What happened to him then remains a mystery to this day.
Any information with regards Carl, his early life, his parents and/or siblings (or other family) would be much appreciated.
