Nuske - Noske Families in Australia

Always looking for new information on the Nuske and Noske families in Australia. In 1997 a group of us published the Book "Oppression to Opportunity" Noske - Nuske families in Australia 1847 to 1997.
In 2005 A group of twelve Australians including my wife and I were invited by the people of Nekla in Poland to visit them for the 600th anniversary of the settlement of the Nekla area which is where the Nuske and many other families lived before moving to South Australia from 1846 on. We spent ten days there and had a great time. When we were compiling our book we were always told that no church records existed back in Nekla but while we were there in 2005 the people gave us cd's with the church and land records which was a great surprise to us all. Now having the records it has enabled me to expand the family trees as when we did the book there were some early ancestors that we did not know which families they belonged to.
All the Noske families changed their surnames after they arrived in Australia as all the records refer to the Nuske surname.

In August this year a group of us are returning to Nekla to attend some more events being held regarding our ancestors.

If you are a Nuske - Noske descendant and want any information please contact me and I will try to help you out as I am also trying to maintain our database with any new information such as new births, deaths and marriages.
Even if you are a descendant of other families from Nekla or Nekla Hauland and want some information I will see if I can find it in the records.
