Looking for George Lafayette (?)Stratton. Born about 1828 in KY (a couple of places say Indiana, but most say KY. Died in Ft Madison on Nov 1,1904 First wife was Cordelia Stewart, Second wife Amanda Shouse. Looking for Place of birth, and where buried.<
The obit for George says interred in LaGrange MO but I can find no buriel records. Apparently Cordelia died young then George married Amanda Shouse, daughter of Alfred Shouse and Nancy Steenbergen (many different spellings.) Census show them in Lewis County MO., Marion Co., MO. At the time of death (1 Nov. 1904) George L.Stratton was visiting his daughter, Effie Susan Stratton Smith in Ft. Madison, Iowa. I think he was living in Lagrange MO. Any info on Geoge, Cordelia Stewart or Amanda Shouse is appreciated. I cannot find a burial place for any of them.
