DOES ANYONE KNOW ANY INFORMATION ON ROBERT OLIVER BROGAN BORN 1781 AND LIVED IN FRANKLIN COUNTY, VIRGINIA. HE MARRIED GRACE ALLEN. I HAVE BEEN UNABLE TO FIND HIS PARENTS OR SIBLINGS. THANKS. SUSAN
I am researching my husband's family tree. His father was Glen Hughes Perdue, his mom was Elizabeth Kessler Perdue. I know Glen's father was Doc Christopher Perdue born abt 1872 in Franklin, Va. Glen's mom was Rosa E. Murry. I've been able to trace Glen's father's side back to 1675 but have come to a dead end with his mom. I know of only one daughter still living of Rosa and Doc and she is 93. She told me her mom died Nov. 20, 1943. She doesn't remember where her parents are buried. She said Rosa had a sister named Josie. I found a William Murry in 1900 census with two children, Rosa and Josie and he's widowed. I can't find the girls with their mother in another census. I'm hoping someone can shed some light on this for me.

BROGANS
I am researching the Brogans. They are originally from Ireland and I think I have traced them back as far as I can here in the US. This is what I have so far:
David Lee Brogan son of George R Brogan Sr (1922-1998) and Marion Garrett (1925-2006).
George's parents are George Lee Brogan (1895-1961) and Eula May Knowles (1895).
George Lee's parents are George Edward Brogan (1873-1909) and Maranda M Sled (1872-1967)
George Edwards parents were William M Brogan (1854) and Mary Jane Sigmon.
William's parents were John Brogan (1809-1901)and Frances Peasly Turner (1825-1901).
John's parents were Robert Oliver Brogan (1781-1856) and Grace Allen (1788-1860).
I have for Robert Oliver Brogan his father as being John Brogan 1752-1800 coming from Ireland. This was in someone else's family tree and I don't know for sure it's right or not. Does anyone know if this is the correct line of Brogans or any overseas information? You help would be greatly appreciated.

Carr and Hawks in Virginia and West Virginia
I am Susan Dawn Carr Perdue. My parents were Harley Dawn Carr (1930-1992) and Mavis Cathleen Sink (1926-2011). My dads parents were James Bane Carr (1904-1974) and Sylvia Hawks (1910-1986). James's parents were Harvey Hoge Carr (1867-1911) and Cora Angela Whitlock (1869-1948).Harvey's parents were William Howard Carr and Mary Oliver. William's parents were William Crow Carr and Elizabeth Bane. I have dates and children, sources and more information if you're following this family.
Perdues and Kesslers in Virginia and Tennessee
I am Susan Carr Perdue and my ex-husband is Michael Glen Perdue. My father-in-law was Glen Hughes Perdue from Franklin County, Va., born 1916. He has two sisters: Dorothy , born 1915, and Mervin born 1919. Mervin is still living and 93 years old. She says she doesn't remember the information I need. Their father was (Dock) Christopher C. Perdue. I'm unable to find his wife's maiden name to trace her roots. Her first name and initial is Rosa E. (Dock) Christopher C. Perdue's parents were Daniel Perdue(1826) and Rebecca F. Divers (1832). Daniel's parents were Edward Perdue (1802) and Elizabeth Bowman (1807). I have a lot more information and sources if anyone is interested.
Michael Glen Perdue's mother was Elizabeth Rosa Kessler. Her parents were Lucian Otey Kessler and Rosa Lee Flippen. Lucian's parents were Robert E. Kessler and Mary Campbell. Rosa's parents were Richard Edwin Flippen and Emma Nelly Coleman. I have more information on this line as well. Hope I can be of help to someone.
