I am researching my father's family and am stuck at his grandfather William S.PARSONS, born about 1864/5, married to Katherine Eva TWOMBLEY.He lived in York, Maine, but was born in Orono, Maine.I think his father might have been Ira E. PARSONS, and his mother was Elvina. If those are the real parents he had 6 brothers(Alonzo,Fred,Charles,Frank,Lorin and Arthur)and 2 sisters (Cornelia and Sarah). Ira's mother is also listed in an 1850 as Irene Parsons with 3 sons, Ira(20), Hiram(16) and Daniel(14).The reason I am trying to see if they (Ira and William) are father and son is that both are listed in the older censuses together in Orono, and then in Cape Neddick,Maine. They also both at one time were blacksmiths.
