Thanks to Itellya's blog in the family tree circles, it gave me inspiration to add to Early settlers Watson brothers of Portsea. We live at Cowes Phillip Island, Vic. My husband Harley Owen Boyle is the son of Robert Edward Boyle whose Mother and Father were Ethel Jane Watson & Robert Edward Boyle. Ethel Jane was the daughter of Alexander Cosmo Watson & Janet Anderson. We both love being by the sea and Harley has sailed for over 50 years. We were lucky years ago that Harleys Dad gave us family photos and told us a bit about his family as no one wanted to talk much about what happened from the past when we were growing up. I have always been interested in family history, however and am enjoying at the moment finding lots of bits and pieces for Harley especially on his Dutch heritage (his mothers father was Dutch descent - (Henry Kreyts) and her Great grandparents sailed out to Australia on a 460 ton barque from Rotterdam via Samarkand and landed in Hobsons Bay in 1869. Why they came and what happened to a lot of the family I am still researching. What amazes me with family research that the same first names keep cropping up in both sides of the family.
