Another brick wall for me in my research is Catharine Phelan. I have her birthday as 15 April 1837. This comes from old family records. Nobody seems to know the names of her parents. She appears on the 1861 Quebec census. She married Willard Axtell In the 1860 census, she is living in The Town of Eagle, La Salle, Illinois. She appears on the 1880 census in Spring Grove, Linn, Iowa. She had at least one child born in Illinois. This couple had six children. On the Montana County Marriages index, Catharine's name is shown as Katie Mires, which is a name that my aunt has penciled in on her records as well. Nobody is sure where this surname may have come from. Catharine died on 4 July 1916 in Bozeman, Montana. She is buried in Holy Rosary Cemetery, aka Holy Cross.

I am trying to find more information on Evan J. Jones. All I have so far is the birth info stated above, that he married Margaret Ellen Jones (different family), who was born in February 1848 in Knox, Ohio. The couple had 9 children, most of which were born in Sheridan, Montana, where the family homesteaded. Evan passed away on 8 January 1911; Margaret on 9 December 1922. It's possible that Evan's parents names are William and Margaret.

I have little information on Narcisse - my great-great grandfather. My information simply shows he was born in Quebec in 1823. He married Mari Dora Douvier LaMarche on 7 February 1853 in St. Lin, 'L Assomption Co, Quebec, Canada. The couple had at least one child in Fall River, Massachusetts - Joseph born about 1873. Narcisse and Dora had 12 children that I know of. He died on 31 July 1906 in St. Paul, MN. Any information about Narcisse, or Dora, would be greatly appreciated.
