Should Georgia state archives Close!Behind those Doors!

Behind those doors you can find so much history! If you're not familiar with the archives ,You will fall in love with all the different subjects you will find!Family heroes are one example!Today they shared with us on Facebook all the different stories waiting for us to access. One was Baseball legend Hank Aaron! The other was The movie The color purple and who was behind the scenes.the story is amazing and that movie was so realistic of the time!Star track was on the list of another great access. One thing about Georgia is its rich history! What better place to locate an archive. If you're researching your family tree try to access these archives!I can bet you you will find history of your family. Now are you wondering why I keep talking about the archives of Georgia ?As of November 1st their saying that they might close or by appointment only!We all now are limited to our resources on family history now.A lot of times lets just say a book on ships from the1700 we usually don't have. These archives have all kinds of records .They will even help you find what you are looking for!To me family history is a subject I am passionate about !To us history is what our families left us to preserve and share with each other! You would think that someone would make these archives off limits for closure. This reminds me when art was an elective course in my school.Every once in a while the budget would cut it out for a year or two.Art was just as important as English.Art was to us a realm of dreams that we were aspiring to create.Creation can be the aspect between striving harder for a goal or climbing that stairwell to get their! Here once again history is art already past waiting for you to touch your past and feel the struggles that's due you who you are!So when you see a door that's closed here,You will know a past is left untold to a world that could use s little inspiration!

The Best I Left Behind!

Estate:Comments on Will of Frederick Tasker!1856-1937-The first Daughter Mrs.Hacker(Tina)Had given up her home to care for him his last year of life and his wife had become seriously ill.I feel this was so touching. The court found that he his moral duty to maintain provisions for all his children were adequate! Therefore dismissing the claim! The applicators had not shown that his provisions for all his children were not supplied!

The heart Takes You Home to Love!

Grandma Burrell always welcomed us with open arms.My Aunt Betty and her children lived with my grand parents.Grandma and papas house stood on a hill .Papa worked at the clothe shop in the town of CampobelloSC.Papa also worked at a store in town.I remember Aunt Elsie always smiling and papa and her talking. They always took time to tell a joke or give you a snack, family a lot of his sisters lived right in the town of CampobelloSC.Aunt Altie, with her husband Ted.Elsie lived right their too.I believe Elsie was a Pruitt or Forrester.Uncle Herbert and his children came by to see papa and Grandma.Herbert lived right down the road from Papa.Their were 13of us all together on the weekends for years.I cherish those old memories of papa and Grandma.I remember the old well .Getting a drink from the dipper sure was good and cold.We gathered firewood to keep the fire to the wood stove burning.I don't remember getting bored fore when you went to bed you were tired.A good tired though.Grandma was sick a lot .She was a bad diabetic.I believe she had several back operations. In factoma said it was the diabetes that took her away.Grandma loved to chew chewing g and she would gladly give you a pinch,.When she passed things changed a lot .I guess my favorite memory was Grandma and Papa sharing a big breakfast with us on the weekends.Papa and Grandma gave us love but they gave us freedom.I remember the cool breeze blowing off the mountain.(HogbackMountain.The River baths and those good ole crabapple trees.Papas brother JC. Papa said helped build the new house. The year was abt.1970.Now I wAs born in 1964And I don't remember them living anywhere else.

The Walk of our ancestors.

I am in awe of the photos that I found last night as I was researching NZ.Check them out on facebook. The skies are a gorgeous blue and captured by the beauty of the Isles. This beauty in the 1800 probably was unspoiled forestland that our ancestors thrived on.What an adventure .What more could you ask for?Nature and all it's beauty .But behind all of this is the fight of survival.Follow my ancestors and well find how even the strong and courageous sometimes make choices that affect their people hundreds of years later.

Town Home Bar !Flu pandemic!

In 1918 a flu pandemic rapidly took hold of the people in Wellington! Ambulances were close by to town hall .The men were stopping by the bars so families were complaining that the men were too drunk to relieve the workers So town hall handed out alcohol and became known as Town Hall Bar!The health officer had closed the bars down.Alcohol was used as a Prevenitive As quinine tablets were used to prevent the flu.camphor bags were used as a Prevenitive,
Garlic and onions which my mother used also for sickness.Kerosene sprinkled on sugar.Tobacco was used which I had never heard of.My mother used tobacco on a bee sting. This flu pandemic killed Sarah Jane Hamilton 1885-1918 wife of Albert Leonard Roset.Sarah died 25 November 1918.
