Family Tree Wanted ~ Researching Families

I've been researching my family history for about 17 years. I've been posting my sources on my blog and I'm trying to connect to more people to continue my research.

I'm researching CONN, CAGE, FENN, FRENCH, KLEYSTEUBER, MAXWELL, MONROE, RUSSELL, STAFFORD, LLOYD, STEPHENS, TRENT, ULM, WARD, POSTON, YOUNT, SMITH, EYTCHESON (ETCHISON), GILCHRIST, HARMAN (HARMON), LACY, STOUT, HARRIS, BOWERS, ULM, WHITE, STEEL. DEFORE, DYAR (DYER), TEVERBAUGH, PERRY, SAMPSON, BEARD, HEADY, BOYLE, LYONS, REED, MAYNARD, POUND, KESTER, LACOCK, KITCHEN, MCGIBBONEY, PERKINS, CROW, JOHNSON, THOMPSON, & many more. I have STAFFORD and STEPHENS (STEVENS) on both sides. My grandparents have WARD on both sides. I'm also researching BIESECKER, RICKER, PARIS, HART, HODSON, JOHNS, CRUM, GOOD, JOHNSON, SHAFF, WAINSCOTT, & UNGER.

I'm trying to make a connection. I'm interested in family photographs & videos, stories, any information, family recipes, & hereditary medical issues. I've taken some tombstone pictures that I'm uploading to findagrave.com & I'm creating Virtual cemeteries, if people have already been added. I'd love to hear from people.

I want to make the information as accurate as possible. I also want to fill in the missing gaps and make corrections, if needed.

I'm looking for William J. STEPHENS who lived in Henderson County, Illinois in 1860, 1870, & 1880

Im looking for information on William J STEPHENS. He was born in 1850 and married Anna RUSSELL in February 1870. They are listed in the Henderson County, IL 1870 and 1880 Census. I found William in the 1860 Census. He was living with the Vaughan family. William died, I believe sometime after 1894. Anna moved all her children to Lawrence County, Indiana by 1900 Census.

Who are Williams parents? If the 1880 census is correct, his dad was born in Pennslyvania and his mom was born in Ohio. It could be correct or incorrect information. If it is correct who does it rule out? Last name could have changed? Williams birth year in 1850 could be incorrect? Williams middle initial could be incorrect? The J could stand for Joseph, James, Jacob?

What year did William die?

Where is William buried? Might be southern Illinois.

Their son William Asberry must have been named for William A. Vaughan that William J STEPHENS lived with in 1860 and next door in 1870.

Was the Vaughan family related?
Or did they just foster William J. STEPHENS?
