Family of David "Dai" Pritchard & Ivy Iona Thomas, Wales, UK

DAVID "DAI" PRITCHARD, born in Cwmgors, Neath Port Talbot, Wales, United Kingdom, on Feb 17 1907 to Thomas Pritchard & Margaret Bowen. He played as prop forward for the Colliery team and Curwen Stars and he also became an International Rugby Referee. In 1927 he became the chairman for Cwmgors Rugby Football Club, and was chairman until the season of 1981-1982. He became the longest serving chairman in Welsh Rugby history. Dai suffered from Alzheimer's and died of a heart attack on Apr 15 1986 in Glamorgan, Swansea, Wales, United Kingdom.

Also see "A Brief History of Cwmgors Rugby Football Club"

IVY IONA PRITCHARD [THOMAS], who's parents where Tom Thomas and Mary Diane Jones, I have very little information of, but she died on Oct 27 1984 and was burried Nov 2 1984.

David "Dai" Pritchard married Ivy Iona Thomas in 1934 in Ponterdawe, Wales, United Kingdom. They had 2 children:
Living (m) Pritchard in 1937
Jeffrey Thomas Pritchard in 1942

The family lived for many years in 76 Lower Colbren Road, Gwaun Cae Gurwen, Neath Port Talbot, Wales, United Kingdom. I believe the house was sold when Iona died.

More information about this family, and maybe even picture(s) would be appreciated. Please note that information in this post might be inaccurate.

Family of David John Bowen & Mary Bowen, Wales, UK

DAVID JOHN BOWEN was born in 1845, in Llandeyen, Carmarthenshire, Wales. He was recorded in the 1891 census (source 1.), aged about 46, in Penybrynian Road, Llanguick, Glamorgan, Wales. In 1905, aged about 60, he was a Coal miner. (Source 2.). David is no longer living, time of death unknown

MARY BOWEN [EVANS?] was born in 1853, in Llanfynydd, Carmarthenshire, Wales. Parents unknown, but I beleive her maiden name is Evans. She was recorded in the 1891 census (source 1.), aged about 38, in Llanguick, Glamorgan, Wales. Mary is no longer living, time of death unknown.

It's unknown when David John Bowen married Mary Bowen [Evans?]. Both spoke Welsh (source 1.). They had six children (source 1.):

Family of David Pritchard & Mrs Pritchard, Wales, UK

DAVID PRITCHARD was born around 1854. Unknown parents. Unknown birth place. In 1905, aged about 51, he was a Coal miner (source 1). Unknown time of death and place.

MRS. PRITCHARD Unknown time of birth and place. Unknown parents. Unknown time of death and place.

It's unknown when David Pritchard married Mrs. Pritchard. If family story is correct they had several children, but don't have a lot of information on this. But they had at least one son:
Thomas Pritchard about 1879
They might also had a son called:
David Pritchard in 1881

Notes:
It's beleived that both Mr. and Mrs. David Pritchard died young, leaving their children behind. They owned a lot of land, and after their death family came in to help raising the children and maintain the land. Somehow this land ended up on the family hands instead of the children. I believe the land was somewhere near the Black Mountain, Wales, UK. It might have been David's father who owned the land mentioned, since David is listed as a coal miner on his son's Thomas wedding certificate.

Help wanted:
I want to find out more about this family and what happened to them all. Names, dates, places - anything really. If you have any information, please contact me.

Please note that information in this post might be inaccurate.

Family of Joseph Anthony and Jennet Griffiths, Wales, UK

JOSEPH ANTHONY was born around 1878 (according to marriage certificate of Joseph Anthony & Jennet Griffiths), his father's name was David and was a shoemaker. But I have found clues that he might have been born in 1874 in Neath, Glamorgan, Wales, UK to David and Margaret Anthony. In 1918 he was working as a Colliery Labourer and was an ex Private in the Royal Defense Corps. On 28 August 1937 he was a Millman at Tinplate works. Joseph lived in Station Road, Ystradgynlais, Wales, UK at the time of marriage. Joseph died in 1941, Ystradgynlais, Wales, UK.

JENNET ANTHONY [GRIFFITHS] was born in 1887 in Ystradgynlais, Ponterdawe, Wales, United Kingdom, to Thomas Griffiths and Mary Griffiths [nee Jones]. Jennet had a daughter, Mary Ann about 1909, before she met Joseph, and Mary Ann's father is unknown. Mary Ann grew up with her maternal grandmother. In 1911 Jennet was working as a school cleaner. Jennet was living in Oddfellow Street, Ystradgynlais, Wales, UK at the time of marriage.

Joseph Anthony married Jennet Anthony [Griffiths] in 19 Oct 1912 in Pontardawe, Wales, UK. They had at five children:

Margaret Anthony in 1914
Maggie Stoneman [Anthony] in 1918
Joseph J Anthony in 1919
Elizabeth Evans [Anthony] in 1921. She married Samuel Evans in 1948.

The family was living in Garden Cottages, Ystradgynlais R.D in 1918.
