I have been searching for a very long period for a passenger listing for HANNAH WALTER who would have arrived in NZ possibly Wellington after the 1871 census and before her marriage in Wellington in 1885 to Erick Victor Lundqvist. Hannah was born on 17/09/1864 in Maidstone, Kent and she was the illegitimate daughter of Mary Walter (1846-) and her grandparents were John and Elizabeth (nee Palmer) Walter. I have searched every site for all ships arriving in NZ from the UK and also from UK to Australia (wondering maybe if Hannah went there first). I have also searched for Hannah's mother Mary Walter as I am not sure if Hannah and her mother came out together or what. Two of Mary Walter's sisters, Emma Sears and Ruth Henry came out to NZ and I was able to find the passenger list for Emma and her husband Henry Sears and their 6 children on the ship "Waikato" which arrived in Wellington on 11/03/1874 but nothing for Ruth and her husband Robert Henry. Hannah Walter married Erick Victor Lundquist on 17/01/1885 at the Wellington Registry Office and they had four sons and one daughter. Hannah died 10/11/1948 at Wellington Hospital. On Hannah's death certificate it states her parents were John Walter and Elizabeth nee (Walter) Walter but from a few years of searching they were in fact her grandparents. Also it stated that she lived in NZ for 76 years and her age at death was 84. Hannah was known as Annie in NZ but not sure if she was known as Annie when she lived in Maidstone, Kent
I have been on every site via google search looking for passenger listings for Hannah Walter and/or Mary Walter and Ruth and Robert Henry? and I also searched through the pages on the passenger listing on the "Waikato" in 1874 for The Sears family hoping I might find Hannah but there was nothing.
Does anyone know where I can search or get information regarding unable to find a deceased ancestors passenger listing?

I am trying to find more information about my 3rd great grandmother Frances Dean who was born in Portchester about 1791 and died in 1876 in Aston, Birmingham, England. Frances married Gustavus Ware in Portsea, Hampshire on the 27 December 1811. They had 10 children - Richard, Maria, Frances, Gustavus (who were born in Cannock, Staffordshire); Matilda (born in St Werburgh, Derby); John, Henry (both born St Thomas, Dudley, Worcester); Elijah, Emma and Rosanna(who were born in Birmingham). I have no information on both her parents and the information I had about where Frances was born was from census records (1851 1861 1871)
Hoping someone may be able to help with who were Frances's parents etc. Frances and Gustavus's marriage information I got from England Select Marriages but there was no information regarding father or mother.

Am trying to find more information about my 4th great grandmother Henrietta Maria Turner who was born about 1745 in Middlesex and married Richard Ware (who was born about 1745 in Birmingham) at St Andrews, Holborn, London on the 10 February 1772. About a year after their marriage their first child Richard John was born in Birmingham and it appears that was where they remained living as the rest of their children - Charles Edward, Sarah, Richard Hoddinor, Henrietta Maria, Gustavus, Amelia and William were born and Henrietta died in Birmingham in May, 1834. Her father was John Turner born about 1720 in Stafford ?. I have no information on who her mother was and I did try searching under the name Hoddinor but drew a blank. Their son Gustavus is my 3rd great grandfather and he married Frances Dean in Portsea but they lived in Birmingham most of their lives. Gustavus was a diamond cutter. Hoping somebody out there may be able to help.

I am researching Thomas Wilson who immigrated to Christchurch, NZ in 1855 with his wife Helen McHarg and young son Thomas jnr. Thomas was born in Kelton, Kirkcudbright, Scotland and his parents were William and Jean(Jane)Thompson who were both born in Kirkcudbrightshire, Scotland. One of Thomas's brothers William Wilson, was the first mayor of Christchurch (1868)and who also was a very successful nurseryman in Christchurch and owned and operated "The Bricks". Thomas Wilson's occupation was a master baker and he owned and operated the "Caledonian Bakery" in Gloucester St, Christchurch and was also in partnership with his brother-in-law John McHarg as fell mongers and tanners. In 1864 his bakery business consisted of a dwelling house, bake-house, a six-stalled stable, out-house, gardens, etc. In 1882 Thomas sold his tannery business as well as a large amount of land that was subdivided into 21 building sites from 11/2 acres to 20 perches. The land was classed as prime land and the River Heathcote flowed in front. All of the information about what Thomas Wilson owned came from Papers Past and I am wondering if anyone has any information about Thomas Wilson and his businesses (for example photos of old Christchurch, books to recommend on the history and making of Christchurch) whilst residing in Christchurch up till his death. His marriage to Helen McHarg produced two sons Thomas jnr and Allan McNeal and five daughters Jane, Margaret, Helen (Ellen), Jessie Brown and Mary. Thomas died on the 21st June 1900 at Regent St, Woolston, and Helen died on the 5th August 1915 at Jubilee Home, Woolston.
