-Robert Russell m Sophia Smith ( Sophia & Adams daughter) 17:06:1870 in Dalzeil Lanark then they came to NZ in 1875 with Robert jnr Sophie and arrived with baby Janet our grandmother on the Hudson. No ships record on departure or of birth but a babe in arms apparently on arrival.
-There is an Adam Smith arriving in NZ Adamnant from Lanarkshire left 28/09/1878 arrived 11/01/1879 ? Was Sophia Smith, his wife on the same voyage or did she come alone ? Is this the right Adam Smith as we do not have Granny Smiths ( Wilson)arrival info but know it was later than the Russells and she had the younger members of the family with her.
-Several Sophia Wilsons probably need checking as well

-The Smiths and Russells settled in Central Hawkes Bay and one of Granny Smiths younger daughters married a Reisima. The decendents of this branch do not have any info and cannot connect details either even tho' they have a family member called Robert Russell Reisima.
I cannot find Robert Russells death date or any other details of their life except for the childrens school sports achievements on papers past.Robert & Sophia (or was she Janet) had 6 children Lilian, Janet Hill, Esther Ingles, James, Sophie and Robert.
Any info or advice greatly appreciated thankyou.
Looking for other children or details re George Smith c 1827 married to Sarah Goodwin c 1835 married St Giles Applegate ? London on 1st Jan 1852
My Great grandfather was John Robert Smith b St James Clerkenwell 14th Sept 1855 at 21 Albian Place Clerkenwell. Birth registered 24th Oct 1855 and mothers name shown as Goodman rather than Goodwin.
I would be interested to hear of other children or information re this Smith family as John Robert emigrated to NZ. Other family decendents had a different set of parents etc but we had Clerkenwell and his birthdate written down by our grandfather so believe it to be true and John Robert was also a butcher like George.
Thanks in advance
He was my paternal grandfather, 1st son of Constance Rebecca Gundrie and married Janet Hill Russell on 15:08:1895. They had 3 children Constance, Jessie Doreen and John Philip. In 1909 Janet died after giving birth and altho' occasionally mentioned by his sisters in family letters etc we would like some more information about him.
Apparently he remarried in 1910 to Mary Evelyn Burgoyne and we believe he lived in the Coromandel or Auckland region. At some point in the early 1920's he is believed to have owned an orchard. He died on 04:11:1927 at 56yrs.
My father was brought up and later adopted by his maternal Aunt and her husband and his birth father was rarely spoken of but we would love to know if he had more children, where he lived and what he did.
Looking for information on Rebecca Skelton ( Linder) family. b.c1818 in Leicestershire. m to John Skelton 22:12:1835 St Margarets Leicester
They had 9 children including Constance Rebecca b. 9:6:1842. The Linder family apparently had a cotton manufacturing factory which was severely affected by the American civil war. her grandfather ( possibly maternal) was either a Sir or an Admiralof the fleet but I cannot find any reference to him as no information re her Mothers name.Who were her parents? grandparents.
Looking for information on Susannah Stockley ( Adams) born c1830 in Dagenham Essex and later married to James Stockley
Alexandrina Skelton daughter of Constance Skelton and born in Dunedin NZ in September 1865. She seems to have vanished a few years later.
If anybody knows what may have happened to her we would love to find a missing piece. her Mother had more children and moved to Hawkes Bay. Was she adopted out or did she remain with another family in Dunedin.
Looking for David Hainsworth who married Ann Boylan in Yorkshire. 2 sons were James who emigrated to NZ and Arthur who emigrated to the US
