My website -

I have a website, to which I add details of my tree and also stories that interest my family. Please feel free to visit it - no need to log on. The middle column of the Home page has links to the stories - I find that writing about my family is by far the best way to understand their character and problems (and scandals!).

If you want to search the site for people of interest to you, there's a search facility located at the top right of most pages.

The main names I am researching at the moment are COWEN, COWAN, BROWN, SLOAN, WYLIE, BANKS, ENTWISLE, ENTWISTLE, ROBERTSON, TANNAHILL, BANKS - usually in the Liverpool and Lancashire areas of England and in Scotland, although some have emigrated.

I am currently researching some Tannahills who emigrated to New York in 1774 and then to North Carolina and the south. Two of the daughters became artists in New York but despite spending their lives in NY, one was buried back in North Carolina and the other in Ohio. Looking for more on MARY HARVEY TANNAHILL and SALLIE B TANNAHILL.
