I am seeking any information on Edward Charles Brown ,my
GGGGrandfather and his wife ? Lillian, Lily Keane, Lily
Kane {nee Thornton ? Thorburn}.
I am unsure as to her real name as every certificat I have purchased is different. They had one son that I know, my
GG Grandfather, another Edward Charles Brown.
The family seem to have come from Wanganuiarea but could have had connections in Auckland.

Hello everyone
Since embarking on this wild ride called family history
I have become fascinated with my husbands maternal
ancestors. The name is Whelpton and they owned property
in Victoria and Queensland. Our Edward Whelpton appears
to have been a mariner. I can find no records of how he
came to Australia but believe he may have come via the
USA or Canada, as he is supposed to have brought a type
of Pre fabricated house with him on a ship??? I have seen
this house which sadly was burnt in this years fires in
Victoria and
I assume with the photos etc that were left there.
I am trying to contact the owner to see if anything was
selvedged.
I am now attempting a name study to see where they all
link in. If anyone has any information on any Whelpton,
any where I am willing to compile this and share. Maybe
we could have a descendants of Whelpton reunion.
