Research Byrd and Weaver family of Mobile County, Alabama

I have been researching the Byrds and Weavers of Mobile Washington Counties, Alabama. The patriarch of the family was Lemuel Byrd, called Pappy or Capt. Red Byrd, born 1795 in North Carolina. He joined the war of 1812 from Putnam Georgia. He married Anna Weaver, born 1790, Georgia. They were married in 1819 in Hall County, Georgia. Lemuel Byrd and David Weaver, Anna's brother, were listed as heads-of-households in the 1830 Alabama Census for Mobile, County. I have hit a brick wall trying to find Lemuel's or Anna's parents. There are other Lemuel Byrds listed in North Carolina during that time period, but they have turned out to be not in my Byrd line. A David Weaver from Sharp Mountain Georgia is not Anna's father, according to the DAR. The tradition is that they are Cherokee from North Carolina. My mother told me that we descended from white settlers and Blackfoot Cherokee, who intermixed with the Choctaws and Creoles in Chastang Alabama after arriving in Mobile County. I was wondering if there are others researching this same line.
