I am researching my Buckea relatives from my great great grandmother Louisa Goodwin [nee buckea]born 05/12/1840,died age 31, 21/12/1871. back through her parents William born 07/12/1801 and died 08/04/1870, and sarah Buckea [nee Devine] married St. Dunstans, Stepney, 1819. william states that he is a handloom silkweaver in the 1841 census and has 10 children: sarah age 20, william 15,elinor 15, peter 15, esther 13, mary 11, elizabeth 7, richard 5, daniel 3, louisa 6 months. they are living in Bethnal Green, Middlesex, uk.
williams parents were: peter buckea and sarah[nee prowse]also married in St. Dunstans. the marriage register queries the spelling as Buchea [or buckea][both of M.E.N.T- mile end new town]and is dated 1793. this Peter Buckea's parents were Peter buckea and Eleanor Turpin married St. Matthews, bethnal green in 1763.
louisa's son was james joyce goodwin and inherited louisa's brother richards goldsmithing business along with a cousin possibly dan/cal[?] collins who may have emigrated to Canada.
my grandmother was james joyce goodwin's daughter, gwendoline born 2/1/1907, and who married ernest edwards.

This is my great grandmother, elizabeth mary goodwin's family, her father was Thomas Webb Nash[b@1841] who was a plasterer and mother Emma Edmunds married at All Souls, Marylebone,London on 2/11/1862.There were at least four children, Henry b@ 1870,Alfred, Phyllis[or emma phyllis]b@1867 and who i think married a Henry Blackman and Elizabeth mary[b;3/9/1868] who married james joyce goodwin her mother Emma Edmunds was born in marylebone, all souls to a father James Edmunds [shoemaker] in about 1842. i think her mother was an Elizabeth Crane although im not certain as the only birthcert i found had only 'girl' and the parents listed but feel relatively certain that this is right. what i am also interested in is the reason why Thomas's middle name is 'Webb' and who were his parents. also what happened to alfred, henry and phyllis. any information or relatives welcome.x
