Bo-Bo The Clown

Bo-Bo was so sad that he thought' No one likes me. I wish that i was out of the Circus. I'am thinking about running away. The other clowns tried to talk to Bo-Bo but he would not listen to any of the clowns. They tried to tell him that running away was not the answer. But Bo-Bo still ran away. Most of the time when we won't listen we get into trouble and this is what happened to B-Bo. No i don't with the law but he got into trouble in other ways. Lets look at some of the ways that Bo-Bo got into trouble. His first trouble starts in a large city. There he is in a city where he doesn't know anyone. This is trouble for Bo-Bo right from the beginning. This also makes Bo- Bo very sad. Bo-Bo sees lots of strange looking people. Bo-Bo thinks boy' I'm in trouble now. I wonder what i can do now. All these strange people scare me. Bo-Bo tries to hide from the people. Maybe i can i can run and get away from these people. But this didn't work. Nothing was working out the way that Bo-Bo thought that it should. What was wrong with these people/ There wasn't anything wrong with them' it was Bo-Bo. Self is our biggest problem. We need to get self out of the way. Don't fell sorry for yourself. Bo-Bo was so tired that he didn't know what to do. Then he saw a bench. Bo-Bo sat down on the bench. He had a tear coming down from his eye. A little boy came and sat down beside him. The little boy saw the tear in Bo-Bo's eye what is your name/ My name is Bo-Bo he answered. The little boy told Bo-Bo his name was BILLY. Billy said to Bo-Bo' why do you have a tear in your eye/ Bo-Bo said because nobody likes me. Billy said well i like you. Billy told Bo-Bo how he loved to go to the circus. Billy said that he loved everything about the circus but loved the clowns most of all. Billy told Bo-Bo about the time that he was in the hospital. How he hsd to have his leg taken off and how sad he felt. Billy felt that no one cared about him. He said that he would cry all the time and that he would not listen not even his mother and daddy. He did say that he never would forget the day that the clowns from the circus came to the hospital and how happy that they made him that day. They made him understand that he really was loved and tthat he needed to stop felling sorry for himself. Bo-Bo looked at Billy with tears in his eyes but not for feeling sorry for himself but these were tears of joy. For the first time in long time Bo-Bo was really happy. Yes a little boy had showed him that he was loved. Bo-Bo told Billy that he had acted so silly. He said i'am going back to the circus where i belong where i know i'am needed. So Bo-Bo headed back to the circus. You talk about being happy. Bo-Bo the clown was very happy as he was going back to the circus. Speacking to everyone that he saw. What a change that has come over Bo-Bo. No longer sad as before but happy. As he goes near the gate to the circus all the circus people see Bo-Bo coming. They all rush to the gate. The circus people started singing come on home Bo-Bo come on home. Bo-Bo was truly back at home where he belonged. The staff at the circus loved Bo-Bo. I hope that you enjoyed reading this short story about Bo-Bo the clown. Written By Charles O'Shields.

Lillie Belle Riddle O'Shields

Lot' of things that my mother wrote in the bible that was hers. My mother gave the bible or i should say that this bible was to fall in my hands at her death. There was pages taken from my family bible before i got the bible. Which i'am not worried about that because God always answers prayer. Our mother i sure cherish all that she wrote and i'am so glad that this was left to me next to the youngest child. I love what was my mothers bible more than any family bible anyehere. I Shall start with what my mother wrote. The Courageous heart of a Faithful Wife. Mother was reared in a small town of Laurens S.C Lillie Belle goes on to tell about her daddy and how that he was a contractor by trade. Hold on i have lots more to tell. Many buildings are standing in that town and near by communities that he contracted and built. One of these is the enterprize bank of Laurens. It was while building this bank that the accident took place. Lillie Belle my mother writes on. My mother says her daddy was on the ground below the building rolling a large beam. Just then he looked up he saw another man on top of the building rolling a large iron beam off the top of the building. Stop Stop he yelled his voice was drowned out because of the men's voices and the clamp' clamp of the tools against the steel he was caught between those two beams whlch crushed his leg only a thin pice of flesh kept his leg together. Now Lillie Belles mother was a woman of strong faith in God. Mrs Riddle was worried when she saw the wagon that had her husband. Yes this was a sad time for for Lillie Belle as she was only six years of age at this time. Carrie Riddle kept a smile on her face but you could see the worried look in her eyes the good doctor done everything he could do. He had to go to the hospital to try to save Mr. Calvin Riddles leg. Mr Riddle was carried to the hospital in Columbia. You know time moves on as prayer goes up. Three months passed and one day a carriage drove up to the front door. To see Mr. Riddle sitting up in the carriage made them so very happy. And thanks to God he had both legs which we praise God. Mr. Riddle lived to be 85 he died November 23rd' 1943 born 1859.

Mountain Adventure year 1928 August.

My mother wrote more and more things in her bible. I loved mother so very much and i sure loved the family bible more than any bible. Oh it is great to have this bible been lots of pages removed from her bible but that is ok. My mother wrote about this mountain adventure. Lillie Belle O'Shields my mother put this in the family bible as she says that every summer that her husband and their childern would spened a few days in the mountains. This picture is a picture of Lillie Belle O'Shields my mother. They are ready to make this trip in the mountains. Location that was selected for what was to be a happy adventure being Cove Creek twenty miles beyond Waynesville NC. What a great place to be the mountain people were so friendly that we just loved being around them. As mother wrote in the bible she told that it was August 1928. That Mr. Denny Leonard O'Shields my daddy got out the old model T Truck out of the garage and overhauled it and made a canvas top for it. This was like what you would see on a mountain wagon. Which was packed with the tents cots bedding cooking utensils food and clothing even had watermelons and chickens and two dogs on the truck. Gee what a loaded truck. Now mother writes that the kids were to ride on top of all those things and mother and my daddy were to be in the cab. Mother says that daddy's brother and his wife and little girl were also going on this trip. Which they would be traveling in their Doge coupe following along behind. Mother says that it is six oclock when they left a very black cloud in the sky. Mother said that she was not in favor of trying to keep going. But the rest said oh it will be ok so she said ok. Night was coming on it was really rough yes i mean rough. Lighting very keen streaks flashed about us and the rain beat down. Mother says that they stopped several times lights were burned out could not get lights fixed. Mother said i think we should stop and wait till morning. But no they said we can make it we can drive by my husband's brothers lights they said. Moon light was bright and it blinded my daddy he slipped a little to close to the bank. Mother writes on with this story down' down we went crash' crash. Mother goes on she say's that she sat up on the ground. Too frighten and stuned to dat an eye looking around i saw my husband by me.But oh where was my children a thousand of things was running through my mind. I was hurt and scared as i was. Next thing i found myself sitting on top of the hill looking down upon the turned over truck below. I can not till this day explain how i got on the hill. My eight year old boy was ok and our little girl was ok.
