ciaran on Family Tree Circles
I have been researching my ancestors for over 10 years. I have been stuck at my maternal ggg grandfather, James Mattox Gentry, for 10 years. My Billingsley family was easy to trace because my mother is actually named in the Billingsley Family in America book. My brother is researching our Beck & Benton (Benton County,TN named for my ancestor) ancestry. My maternal g-grandmother was a Davis from MS & have only been able to trace back to her father.
In addition to geneaology, I love spending time with my grandchild and family. I have 3 dogs:a Flat-Coated Retriever, a Chow, & a Bull Terrier(Spuds McKenzie type)/Pit Bull cross. It's a fun time when all the dogs & my grandchild get to playing with each other. For over 40 yrs I owned, trained & showed horses. I also taught riding.
Since I'm retired,at an early age, I can work on geneaology anytime day or night(no one around to complain!). I worked in the transportation industry for over 30 years (broker, dispatcher, manager,) I also spend time reading, cooking, enjoy photography and music. I love to travel, enjoy camping, flea markets and just generally having a good time with family and friends.
I have a family tree on ancestry.com called: Billingsley,Gentry,Beck,Benton-Roots,Branches,Twigs. I'm glad to share any info I have.
