Norman Edward Harris of Akld NZ(1889-1961)married to Mable Grage Thorne of NZ(1889-1974)had a son Edward Norman Harris (known as Norm or nickname Podge)1915Akld NZ, died 1998Akld NZ.

He married Eileen Laura Williams born 13 Jun 1916,On boat transit to NZ (from Aust). She died 15/1/2002 Akld NZ. Eileens father was Alfred(Alf) Williams born 23/7/1887 place unknown, but could be Australia.
Alf was married to Mary Jane Pethybridge from Mt Morgan QLD.

We have quite alot of info on the Pethybridge and Thorne branches but it is quite a differnet story with harris and Williams.

I am looking for info on Alfred Williams born 23/7/1887, place unknown. He was married to Mary Jane Pethybridge born 23/12/1891. Mary was born in Mt Morgan QLD Australia, so there is a fair chance that Alfred was also born in Australia. They moved to NZ in 1916 and lived in Auckland. I believe that there are also relatives in Tauranga and recall stories of this part of the family being involved with the local fishing industry.
