More Information on English Cosbrooks sought.

William was the eldest son of John Cosbrook and Fanny Shearsby,bn 1855 in Southam Warwickshire as were all the family. All I know of him is that he came to Newzealand with his brother George on the ship Bebington in 1872 and then just disappeared. George was my Grandad bn.1857 and I know a lot about him. Henry was the 3rd son bn. 1860 and was a soldier who never married. At least I dont think so. Martha was the only daughter bn.1862 and she married William Adkins in Southam 1883. The last son was John Shearsby Cosbrook bn 1864 the same year his mother died so she probably died from childbirth complications. He married Emily Batchelor in Napton 1898. At their mothers death the 4 younger children were placed in the local workhouse while William went to work for his Grandmother. I have not been able to trace what happened to John the father and know very little else of the two siblings who married.I would appreciate any help anyone can give me as I would love to make contact with any living kin I may have in England or further afield.

Looking for Harry Scott of Christchurch Canterbury NZ

Harry was born abt.1848 ...but where? He married in
Christchurch 1873 to Mary Somerville an Irish girl from
Co Tyrone. They had 5 sons and 1 daughter. One of their
grandsons...Charles Eugene Low was a Rhodes Scholar in
1926.Harry died in
1908 and left some land in the area to
the Christchurch city council now known as Scotts reserve
If anyone has any information on Harry or his wife and
family I would love to share. I have a fairly extensive
tree for Mary Somervilles sister Elizabeth Caroline.

Looking for Andrew Cole's father in Grenadier Gaurds 1840s

Andrew Cole jnr was my Grt Grandfather born in London in 1834
1834.Joined Army aged 16 and came to New Zealand with the 65th regt.
65th regt.Married Bertha Jordan in New Plymouth 1856 and they had
had 12 children. My grandmother was no.10 Ada who married
George Cosbrook 1892.I have researched the family as a
whole and George in particular but cannot get further on
Andrew's father, also Andrew. He was stationed in Canada
in 1841 census and although I have searched Army records
there is no record of his enlistment or his birthplace. I
think all Cosbrooks in New Zealand are from George and
Ada so if anyone else is researching the whole family
maybe we can help each other.
