I seek the county of origin in NC for our Family Patriarch?Anston Tunsil; African American heritage, born 1814 in NC. My Father Cornelius Tunsil disclosed the following: The patriarch is Julius Austin Tunsill, born 1826 in NC. There are seven siblings?Frank; John; Paul; Samuel; Alabama; Cynthia, and Susan who were all born in MS excepting Frank born in Florida. All others migrated to Florida. However, the Florida death (1877-1939) records for Samuel Tunsil indicate Aston Tunsil born 1814 in NC as patriarch; Buckran born 1825 in Kentucky, Saline County, Ark. as matriarch. Also, an 1880 United States Federal Census revealed Anston, Nancy, and Frank residing in Florida. I currently reside in the Republic of the Philippines without access to genealogy access other than online genealogy sources. I have researched Ancestry.com; Achieves; & FamilySearch.org. without locating any information to get beyond the brick wall. I humbly ask you for any assistance you can provide.
