Mary P STICKLES, born 1822 in Henderson County, TN, she married Abraham A. READ in 1839 in Henderson, TN. She died in Feb 18 1875 in Mound City, Pulaski, Illinois. Any information on her parents would be appreciated.

I am searching for information of Charles LUDLOW b. 1848 in England, died July 1 1908 in Chattanooga, TN, and his wife Jane b. 1847 in England, who died sometime after the birth of their son William in 1879, and 1900 when Charles is listed with a second wife, Carrie STROFER (1853-1932). According to the census record Charles and Carrie were married since 1868, which is wrong as Charles was married to Jane by 1872, when there first child Emma was born in Pittsburgh, PA. Possibly this was the date of Charles and Jane's wedding. Charles was in Pittsburgh in 1870, but is living with another family, perhaps he and Jane married in England and he came to the US ahead of her.

My GGgrandfather was Sam P FLETCHER who was married to Fanny, or Francis Martin. In the 1850 and 1860 census in TN there is a girl named Ellen Martin, in one record and E F Martin in another. In the 1860 census, she is listed just a few pages away from the listing for Sam P Fletcher. Sam's father Granderson Fletcher is a tailor, and Ellen's older brother is as well, so it seems likely that the families would have known each other. I have been unable to verify that she is the Fanny Martin who married Sam, though she is the right age.
