Information on O?Donnell, Ronan, Fannagan, Powers, Brophyy

My family? travels started from Ireland and they traveled to Canada.
His name is Samuel O?Donnell, he had two children Letitia M. A. O'Donnell born in 1840 and Michael S. O'Donnell born in 1847 in Ireland. In the 1860 census in Sommerville, Canada has Letitia and Michael O?Donnell age 18 living with Michael and Mary Fannagan in Canada. Letitia occupation is a milliner, and Michael becomes an engraver.
Samuel is listed in the Cumberland Nova Scotia 1861 census as a farmer.
Mary Powers listed as their mother, but believe this is not true. There was also living in the family for a while Honora Brophyy, possibly a family friend of Michaels wife?s Ronan family, who also lived in Canada.
From Canada everyone (O?Donnell, Ronan, Fannagan, Powers, Brophyy) moved to Malden Mass.
Information on O?Donnell, Ronan, Fannagan, Powers, Brophyy beginnings in Ireland is what I am looking for, if someone has a direction for me I would appreciate it. Elizabeth (O?Donnell) Whittaker-Williams egmf@sbcglobal.net.

Wright, Yates, Garrigan, a mystery that we need help on.

The mystery starts with my Grandmother who died in California 1940. She told her daughter that she was born in Rome New York on 31 May 1887. Her name was Agnes Wright, fathers name was Yates at the age of 4 yrs. She was put into the Notre Dame orphanage and raised by the sisters. Her memory was that she and her older sister were playing on her Grandfather tug boat, she fell and was cut on her nose and lip. Then she was put into the orphanage. At the age of 24 Agnes married Owen Garrigan (born in Ireland) were married at Church of the Resurrection, Town of Rye, County of West Chester, New York. She had a son my uncle Edward Garrigan by him in 1912. (so far no idea where he was born and no birth certificate on Edward) Owen traveled several times back to Ireland. No record of what happened to him. Agnes meets Samuel E. O?Donnell in Staten Island in 1917, New York and they had two children, my mother in Staten Island and my Uncle in New Jersey. In 1922 they moved to California.
I can find nothing on her birth from the State of New York, there is no response from an inquire to Catholic Church. We have no further information on Owen Garrigan, or the Wright and Yates family. My cousins and I have been searching for many years. We are hoping for more ideas where to search.
