edf requires information on John Fletcher school master married to Mary Fletcher had a son named Josiah baptised on the 20 Oct 1816

edf is trying to determine if John and Mary Fletcher are the parents of Josiah Fletcher who married Anne Bird on the 09-10-1836 at Manchester cathedral and migrated to Australia on the Barque Salsette in 1841 with their two sons, Edmund and George

My name is edf and I am the G.G.Grandson of Josiah Fletcher b.1816 and Anne (Bird) Fletcher, married 1836 in Manchester

I would be very interested if anyone has information that would confirm that my G.G.G. Grandfather was indeed John Fletcher and my G.G.G. Grandmother was Mary Fletcher (maiden name Foden, previously married to Josiah Fletcher(victualler of old hall)..who sadly died of fever in 1811. Josiah and Mary had a daughter, Martha Fletcher b. 1806, whom I believe was my G.G. Grandfather Josiah Fletcher b. 1816, step sister. Martha married John Ralphs in 1832 and John Ralphs joined my G.G. Grandparents in Port Phillip Bay Australia in 1842 and to my knowledge Martha remained in England, I would be very interested if anyone has any history regarding Martha (Fletcher) Ralphs and also information about my G.G. Grandmother Anne (Bird) Fletcher who was remarried to George Hall (ex convict) in 1845 after my G.G. Grandfather Josiah Fletcher tragically drowned at Merri Creek Victoria in 1845, George Hall died approximately 5 years later and Anne my G.G. Grandmother seems to have vanished ? Did she go back to England or did she re-marry and move to another state ?

Does anyone know who Josiah Fletcher's parents were in Manchester UK

Josiah Fletcher born in 1816 married Anne Bird in 1836 at Manchester Cathedral and they immigrated to Port Phillip bay onboard the Barque Salsette in 1842.
Josiah Fletcher tragically drowned at Merri Creek in 1845 and Anne married George Hall in December 1845

Josiah. b. 1816 had a step sister Martha b. 1806 who married John Ralphs, I believed they had the same mother Mary (Foden) Fletcher however Martha's father Josiah Fletcher(victualler of old Hall) died of fever in 1811,

Question is who did Mary (Foden) Fletcher re-marry ? was it John Fletcher ? and what relation was he to Josiah Fletcher who died of fever in 1811
