Liscum family, Upper Canada

I am continuing my research on the maternal side of the Spinks family. The name is Eliza Jane Liscum, born 2 Mar 1871 in Roseneath, Alnwick Twp., Northumberland, Ontario, Canada. She is the daughter of George Liscum and Jemima Rosetta Jackson.. George was born 4 April 1834 presumably in Upper Canada. He married Jemima 1 Dec 1856 and Died 4 Dec 1874 in Roseneath, Northumberland, Ontario, Canada. After George's untimely death, Jemima remarried Peter Smith on 6 Feb 1878 in Hastings, Ontario, Canada in the Alderville Methodist Church.
Between George and Jemima, 5 children were born. The last, Ekiza Jane Liscum is my great grandmother. In all my research thus far, I draw a blank as to the parentage of both George Liscum and Jemima Rosetta Jackson. I have come across several Liscum's in the census records, but no way to connrect parentage. I think, but cannot prove that George's brother may have been Bailey and Maitland Liscum, but it is only a supposition. I have nothing concrete. I am anxious to crack this line and would be happy to share any of the information I have that might be helpful to anyone. It just seems to me that with birth and marriage registrations there should be parents listed someplace, but I am coming up blank. Any help would be appreciated.

Looking for information about the Spinks family of Bodney, Norfolk, England

My name is Serena Falgoust and I am researching my grandmother's paternal line, Spinks. I have the main line traced to 1625, but would appreciate any additional stories or history on the family. My great, great grandfather is Jacob Jonel Spinks. He was born in Bodney and immigrated to Canada sometime between 1861 and 1863. He is married to Eliza Bird, dtr of Henry Bird and Susan Partridge. I have no further information or parentage on them. Any assistance would be appreciated.

Looking for Michael Cull family of Cork, Ireland

I am looking for a the Michael Cull family who supposedly lived in Cork County, Ireland. Michael was born about 1800. He married Mary McDonald about 1818. They had 18 children, but only 4 lived so far as we know. They immigrated to the USA between 1838 and 1847 where their last child, a dtr, Mary Lucretia was born in New York. Their oldest son was James born about 1820 in Ireland. Another son David was born in Ireland 1838. Of the 18 births, these three children lived to maturity. The family was Catholic. The family legend tells us that James was a lawyer who married a socialite from New York. We cannot find Michael and Mary in the census in the USA which is puzzling. Mary died in 1851 in New York, we are told around New Rochelle, but we can't prove it. We do know that her daughter Mary Lucretia went to live with Uncle James after the death of her mother and later went to California and married in 1869. Supposedly after the death of her mother, her father Michael and son, David (both widowers) went to California to Humbolt County. We verify David being there in 1870's to his death in 1894 in Yuba, CA, but haven't been able to verify Michael. Our biggest question is trying to find immigration records showing any helpful information. It is very curious why a prominent lawyer (James Cull) can't be found in New York either. We don't know if maybe James came over first with relatives and friends and then Michael and wife with David came later. Any help with immigration records would be really helpful.
