My Grandfather was a Barnardo Home Boy sent to Canada in 1907. His Mother was Mary Jane Smith at the time of his birth and later married ALFRED JUPP DENYER. According to the 1911 Census in London England, they were both 34 years old (approx.). I was always told that my Grandfather Frederick William Smith was an only child. It turns out that he had two half brothers, Nathan Denyer and Edward Charles Denyer who were both alive when my Grandfather was sent to Canada. That means I have relatives in the U.K. !!! Looking for any descendants of ALFRED JUPP DENYER or MARY JANE DENYER (nee Smith). She apparently remarried to a Mr SEARLE in 1916.
