MY SEARCH FOR THE PARENTS OF WILLIAM A. JOHNSON

William A. Johnson was born in 1833 in New Brunswick [now part of Canada]. I have been unable to find his parent's names. However, data in William A.'s census records show his father was born in Maine and his mother born in New Brunswick.

I first find William A. in the 1860 census of East Saginaw, Saginaw County, Michigan: Series: M653 Roll: 558 Page: 568

William Johnson, 25, male, laborer, born New Brunswick.
Note: William and others appear to have been boarding at the residence of:
Lorenzo Ledbetter, 51, male, lumberman, 10000 15000 born Maine.

William is next found in the 1870 Federal Census, Genesee Co., MI; Post Office = Otisville; 16 June 1870.
Household Members:

I have never been able to find a marriage record for William. In about 1865 he married Matilda Rebecca Rawling, who was born in Markham,Ontario, Canada.

William next appears in the 1880 census along with his family:
1880 CENSUS: Michigan, Lapeer Co., village of Otter Lake, p 3, supv dist 3, enum dist 175, 5 June 1880:

I have taken a ydna 67 marker test and have 4 pretty good matches at 37 markers and 1 match at 67 markers, but haven't been able to tie in on anyone with the paper trail.
I also had a deep clade test done and the results show me in haplogroup E1b1b1a2.

No one in my family or my grandfather's family ever mentioned my gr grandfather, William A. Johnson. The family bible has no data, either. I can remember William A.'s wife living with our family out in Oregon, but I never heard her ever mention her husband.
