I have been researching my Croydon family who were from Burliscombe, Devon/Wellington, Somerset. I have a tree from the late 1700s. My family moved to Bath, then to London around 1870s. Most were sawyers/carpenters. Some of the family moved to Exeter and Wales. One lived in Sampford Arundel near Burliscombe. I would love to hear from others who think there may be a connection with their family.

Looking for family of George Cummin baptised 1725 West Lavington, and son, Richard Cummins baptised 1754 West Lavington who married Jane Clelford in 1782. Subsequent descendants were born in Market Lavington and moved to Briton Ferry, Cardiff, Swansea, Glamorgan, Neath/Cricklade, Fareham, Alverstoke, Southampton/Devizes, Salisbury, Trowbridge/Barton Regis, Bath/Shoreditch, Bethnal Green, Poplar.

I would love to hear from anyone researching Spittle in the above areas. My earliest ancestors are William Spittle b about 1760 who married Sarah Rolph 1779 St Mary`s, Ealing. I understand that family members moved to New Zealand, Australia and Canada (Lillian nee Spittle Pool). I have quite a large family tree.
