I have been told my ggg grandfather is buried in Washtenaw Co. MI. Can anyone get me a little more detail on this? I seem to be spinning my wheels. A note I received says he was born 1816, Easton, Washington, NY a died 1897 Cambria, Niagra, New York, but then an additional note says he is buried in Washtenaw, MI.
I have recently located the name and hopefully the birthdate of my 3X great grandfather Alonzo Robinson, b 1826 Cambria, NY. I am trying to connect my family to John Robinson, the Pastor to the Pilgrams. Alonzo married Mary Ann Turner and had George. He married Ella Howarth and had Florence Belle Robinson Nofsinger. Anyone out there able to give me any help?
Christian NOFSINGER (Naftziger) was born in France in 1819 and came to America with his parents in 1831. He married Elizabeth PLANK in 1840. He was an amish/mennonite minister for 47 years in Pretty Prairie Howe, IN.
I would love to hear from anyone who knows these people (my 3x's great grandparents). Also I would love to see any pictures to help me identify if two very old photos I have may be of them (highly unlikely with amish background, but maybe).
I'm looking for any information anyone can give me on my great great grandparents, David and Virginia CLUTTER. David b. 1865 d. 1951. Virginia b. 1866 d. 1942. I know they had twin boys, one of them Lee A. CLUTTER and that the other twin left one day and was never heard from again. Lee married Gertrude THORSTINSON and they lived in Burlington, MI. Lee died in 1969 and Gertrude in the 1980's. They had like 10 kids. I have no records that go further than David and Virginia.
I'm looking for any information or connections to Lora Fletcher Cole. She lived in Kentucky and West Virginia later moving to Alger, Ohio and then to Burlington, Michigan. She was of Irish descent. I don't know her parents but think she had a sister names Vic and maybe one half brother. She married Taylor Cole in the 1920's.
I have been doing research on the FLETCHER branch of my family. I'm stuck on "Old" George Fletcher b.1796/7. I have a copy of a publication called Strictly Kentucky Genealogy, Ap 2006.It says he was listed on the 1820 census of Floyd Co. KY with a Mary who was Head of Household.
My real goal is to find when his family got to the states, and where they came from.
Looking for information about my possible great great grandmother, Stairvilla COLE FLETCHER. I was told she was born in Maggofin, KY, USA 15 Dec. 1873. She gave birth to my great grandmother Lora in 1901 and Victoria in 1903. Would like to know anything anyone may know regarding these 2 sisters and anything on Stairvilla's past.
I am looking for any records on Vermique HABECKER NAFZIGER. She was married to Peter NAFZIGER b.1764/5 Fleckensteinerhof Germany. S/o Peter NAFZIGER and Magdalena SCHANTZ NAFZIGER.
Peter and Vermique had Valentin, b. 10 June 1783.born in Germany but immigrated in 1831 to Fulton Co.OH d. 1852 in Wayne Co.OH.
I am a direct descendant of this line and have no information on Vermique.
Looking for information on Vernie Clutter. He was the twin brother of my great grandfather, Lee A. Clutter of Burlington, MI. The story goes that he just left one day (apparenly was sick of his demanding/controlling wife) and was never heard from again. My great grandfather was born in the late 1800's. I know that Vernie and Lee's mother's name was Virginia and that she is buried somewhere in Homer,MI.They were originally from northern Michigan. Anything anyone has I would love to hear about it.
