I have a lot of Burch information stemming from John Burch and Ann Radford back in ther 1730s. The family spread from Lympstone, Devon, to Cornwall and up to the Northern Counties of England. One part of the family were Mariners, and some came here to Australia and also to New Zealand. Some made their way to Dawlish in Devon, where they were Ag Labs and Laundry workers. The Burch family also includes the names Litton, Garrish and Newman

Margaret Skinner, married Henry James Wearing 1850. According to the marriage certificate her father was Timothy Skinner, a Brewer.

Edward Bird Wearing, born Blackmore Essex, c1810 and married Kezia Ross. He was an Estate Agent, Furniture Broker, Assessor, left legacies in his Will to his nephews James Wearing and Henry Wearing,(all of Bethnal Green) Henry Wearing being my gggrandfather. Henry was an Ivory and Hard Wood Turner as was his brother William Edward. All this information has been traced through Wills thoughtfully left by my ancestors, but who were the parents of Edward Bird Wearing and his brothers James Wearing (my ggggrandfather) who married Sarah Bignold, and Henry Wearing who was also born in Essex, UK. James Wearing appears to have been baptised in Spitalfields. Brick Lane, Spitalfields comes into the picture quiter a lot, but finding where the family first came from is my big brick wall. EDWARD BIRD WEARING, born Ongar/Blackmore Essex England c 1810, married Kezia Ross at St Matthews, Bethnal Green 1828. HENRY JAMES WEARING born to JAMES WEARING and SARAH BIGNOLD, 1828, baptised St Mary Whitechapel. Henry married MARGARET SKINNER 1851 in St Philips. Henry migrated to Nova Scotia in the 1890s after the death of his wife and died in Nova Scotia 1909. JOHN WEARING, born 1853 died 1894 (Asthma)married HANNAH SHAW 1876.
