Does anyone know if there was a special place in Clifton North Island in New Zealand where maybe unwed mothers had their babies in the later 1800's. Any help at all much appreciated.
Alice Jane McGinity shown date of birth 21 June 1870 in family bible. No other info shown. Her mother was Sarah Larcombe née Webb who married John McGinty in 1872 previous husband disapeared in 1869 the youngest child from that marriage being born in that year. Originally it was thought she was born in Dunganville on the West Coast of New Zealand but her marriage certificate (Alice) shows Clifton N I. There is another sister Mary Ann McGinty born 1872 that I can find registered, but nothing for Alice. Any help to find her birth or baptism would be gratefully received.

I am trying to find the passenger list of the Triumph in 1882. in particular am looking to travce the O'Reilly family who then came to the Westland area of New Zealand. They may have gone to Westland on another ship maybe the Manapouri. They originated in Ireland. Any info at all would be most welcome.
Looking for Bridget O'Reilly who emigrated to New Zealand in 1879 on the Fernglen. She was a witness at her sister's wedding in 1882 in Greymouth in that year and gives her address as Kumara on the West Coast. In New. Zealand.
I am looking for records for Johanna O'Reilly (probably from Waterford, Ireland) - she married Peter Kirwan in 1886 in Hokitika on the West Coast of New Zealand. There were 3 sons Peter Joseph 188 - 1937, Lawrence 1891 - 1973, Patrick Bernard 1899 - ?. Johanna was buried in Hokitika on 3.2.42 and Peter in Hokitika on 30.7.31. I am particularly interested in finding the parents on Johanna, and also when she emigrated to New Zealand.
I am hoping to trace Bridget T'Ryelly (O'Reilly) who came to New Zealand on the FernGlen in 1879. Note there were approx 53 passengers on this ship unnamed and she was one of them. Bridget would have been about 20 years of age at the time and travelled with her two sisters, Ellen and Catherine. She was born in Tipperary Ireland.
I am looking to trace John McGinity - he married Sarah Webb in Greymouth New Zealand on 4 June 1872. He was born in 1840 - other than that I have no further information. He would be my great grandfather.
I am looking for further information on Margaret Heenan born 1830 in Ireland and who died 1898 in Hokitika New Zealand. She was the wife of John Heenan - they presumably married in Ireland - I would love to know her maiden name, her parents and where they came from. (I have details of their children) John may have come from Offaly. They left Liverpool for Australia on the Morning Star and lived in Australia for a while.
