married Ellen Hughes in Sydney 1852 they are my great great grand parents. They had 2 children John and Mary. Daniel died in Sydney in 1858 natural causes. On the marrage certificate it had place of birth New Carlisle North America which makes me thin it was not part of Canada at that date, would he have needed a passport to enter Australia if so how to look up passports registered in Canada?
