I am looking for some info on my Birth Family (The Roberts family that arrived in Cape Briten Nova Scotia in the late 1800's or early 1900's.) I am also looking for information on my Birth Father.

any one knowing any info on this Roberts Family I would love to here
from them.

My story began when I found out my birth family name was Roberts.
It was to my disappointment,that my birth mother was no longer living,
she died in 1994.

I have been searching ever since for some family info.
I came up with a few facts, they are as follows:

Judith Diane Roberts (MY Birth Mom),was 20 years of age and single when she got pregnant with me. She was not working and had no means of looking after a child at that time and gave me up for adoption.

I was born in Middleton, Nova Scotia at the Soldiers memorial Hospital.

Judith Diane Roberts later married Donald Rockwell. He had 2 children perversely (stepson)Kenneth Rockwell, living in Connecticut in 1994. and (stepson)Donald Rockwell,living in California in 1994.

My Birth Father was born in approximately 1927 and was 35 years of age. He was single when I was born. He was born in the Province of Nova Scotia.

He was of Roman Catholic faith. He past away in February 1962 due to an unexpected illness.

He Completed Grade 5 education and was employed in the transportation sector.

My Birth Father was 5'3" tall. he had brown eyes with dark hair and a light complexion. He was described as having a pleasant disposition.

My Birth Father had 5 siblings. They were:

David Roberts (my Great Grand Dad) was born on Feb 9, 1880 in England and died on Aug 10, 1954 in Glace Bay Nova Scotia. He married Alice Rose,(i am not shore on the name Alice Rose)

Children of David Roberts and Alice Rose

1. Albert William Roberts (My Grand Dad) born in 1920 in Glace Bay Nova Scotia and died on May 21, 1944 in Nova Scotia

2. James Elias Roberts was born in England and died on an unknown date

3. Amies may be Allies Roberts was born ?

4. Theodasia Roberts was born in England and died on an unknown date

6. Mrs. Elijah Wareham Roberts

7. Alice Roberts.

Albert William Roberts one of the children of David Roberts was my Grand Dad. He Married Selina Osborne (daughter of Eleazer Osborne and Alice Brown).
He had served with the Royal Canadian Corps of Signals. He had spent several months on duty in Labrador and while there he became ill. He was flown from Labrador to halifax where he underwent a period of treatments at Cape Hill Hospital.

Following his release from the institution he was discharged from the army because of his physical condition and returned to his home. He became ill again and admitted to Camp Hill Hospital where deth took place on May 21 1944.

Selina Osborne Roberts (My Grand Mom)was born on June 11 1921 and died in late June or July 1 1947 in Glace Bay Nova Scotia.

Selina Osborne Roberts had at least one sister Doris Osborn (Mrs. John MacMullin)she was living in Cape Briton in 1994.

Albert William Roberts and Selina Osborne Roberts had two young girls,
Judith Diane Roberts (My Birth Mom) and Marilyn Roberts (Mrs Ronald Simpson)(my Aunt),living in Fort McMurray, Alta. in 1994. both borne in Glace Bay Nova Scotia.
