Family of Mary O'Day b.1836 Fethard, Tipperary, Ireland - d.1905 Campbells Creek,Victoria, Australia

Mary (O'Dea) O'Day was my Great Great Grandmother,(on my paternal Grandmother's side.) who emigrated to Australia as a young woman.Evidence shows that she met and later married James Roberts (Cornwall)on 24.09.1857 at St Johns Church, Melbourne, Vic, Australia.
They had seven children. My Gt Grandmother, Ellen (Helen) Roberts was one of them.
I do not have much information on Mary's parents or siblings, if any. Her father's name was John O'Day b. ABT 1810 (I am told that he was a cab proprieter)and Mary's mother was Mary Fannin b.ABT 1812. I am not sure if they were born in Fethard, Tipperary or had gone there before their daughter, Mary was born.
That is all of my information with regards to my Irish ancestry.
I would appreciate hearing from anyone who has more to add to this.

Seeking Diane Jordon, who requested information re: Esther Bertha Fantham & David Charteris family

Greetings to you all.
I am a great grand daughter of Esther & David Charteris; in fact, I would be only one of many of their descendants.
My interest in genealogy has been here for some years and I have some information for Diane Jordon who is also related to our ancesters. David Charteris was born in Corsua, Dumfries, Dumfresshire, Scotland in June 1843 - 1929 and came to New Zealand, arriving in Lyttleton some years after the lady whom he would later meet and wed. David's mother was Helen Bell who was married to his father, James Charteris also from Dumfries).Esther Fantham hailed from Ellesborough,Wendover,Buckinghamshire, UK and was born in 1848 - 1943
The two met and married at the Manse in Christchurch. My grandfather,Ernest James Charteris was the second of fourteen children and my father (Walter 'Bruce') was the third son of Ernest Charteris & Ruby Elizabeth Grace Hansen.(Ruby was born in Victoria, Australia and they married in Kalgoolie, W.A, before coming to New Zealand in 1905). They had a daughter, Florence Annie.James Seddon C. & Arthur Joseph C. were their elder siblings.
If you read this information Diane, you may remember meeting me in Christchurch in the 1980's. I gave you my copies of photographs taken at the Charteris Reunion held in Wanganui in 1984? and never did get any to replace.Look forward to reuniting and sharing more info.
