looking for parents of one John Lewis Powers
I don't know much of my great-great grandfather, John Lewis Powers. He was born in Ireland sometime in 1853 and died on the Mississippi River between Memphis and Helena between 1898 and 1900. He was married to Ellen Marnetta Sanderson of St. Paul, Minnesota and also to a woman named Ouineda (pronounced We-ne-da). Ouineda was a Native American, most likely Cherokee.

Euna May Humphrey - born to George Thomas Humphrey and Sarah Hart in 1901. Paducan, Kentucky
John Lewis Powers - born to unkown in 1853 somewhere in Ireland.
Ellen Marnetta Sanderson - born to Henry Jacob Sanderson and Angeline Armstrong in 1856. St. Paul, Minnesota
George Thomas Humphrey - born to Charles M. Humphrey and Margaret Melissa Thomas in 1870. Clarksville, Tennessee
Sarah Frances Hart - born to Samuel Hart and Louisa Lane in 1881. Paducah, Kentucky
As for my father's mother's side . . . I only know her parents' names:
