Looking for Mize family

My mother is a Mize. Her name was Olive Vea Mize. She had a brother, Carroll and a sister Verna. They were all born in Arkansas. Vea in 1913, Carroll in approx. 1905 and Verna in approx. 1909. Their father, William Mize, was a successful farmer in Arkansas before he died in approx. 1921 when my mom was 8 years old.

My mother's first child from a different father than mine was Kern Wayne Dunagan. He received the Congressional Medal of Honor for his actions in 1969 Viet Nam. He died in 1991 at the age of 57 years of age. If you want to see a picture of him, simply Google; Kern Wayne Dunagan and you should have a few pics to choose from.

Kern's children understand that the "Mize" genetic link is, no doubt, the place where Kern found his courage, as our Momma Mize would have beat up an entire regiment of enemy soldiers if they got in her or her family and country's way.

I am attempting to connect some dots for Kern's children and grandchildren. I saw that another Mize also received the Medal of Honor for his actions in Korea, Ola Lee Mize, is his name. They both retired as Colonels in the U.S. Army. Ola sort of looks like my 1/2 brother Kern, as well as, myself to a lesser degree.

Woudn't that be a HOOT if these two brave soldiers were somehow related through the Mize-connection! And if that turns out to be true, then what better honor than to have Kern's and Ola's family relations have this on their genetic tree!

*Just to add another sizzling detail, my cousins Jimmy and W.C. Mize, once told us, before they passed on, that we were all related to Larry Mize, the PGA Golfer. But, then again, which Mize clan 'doesn't' wish and claim to hang this little golfball ornament on their family tree?

I have to check before I discount anything...

Thanks for any HELP! Bill Marvin Hudson (Mize on my mother's side)
