James R. Luther Allen- Bartow Georgia -maybe my gg gndfather
My father was an Carroll Jerome Allen (m.Thelma Lee Smith) from Sylvania Georgia. His father was Russell Clifton Allen Sr (1889)(m.Elmer M. Turner) Jefferson Cnty Georgia and his father was Benjamin Franklin Allen (1859)(m. Emma McDaniel)Jefferson Cnty Georgia. All are buried in Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery at Twin City Georgia.
I think that Benjamin Franklin Allen's father was James R. Luther Allen (1834), and his father was Barnabus D. Allen, who are buried near Bartow Georgia in Nail's Creek Baptist Church cemetery. Even though I have found some clues, I have not been able to absolutely make this link.
Does anyone have some info that could help me with this?
Looking for Smith relatives from Washington Cnty Georgia USA
William Green Smith(22Nov1872)from Washington Cnty GA was my gg gdfather. He Married Elizabeth King(1874)also from Washington Cnty. They had abt 8 children. John Marshall Smith (29Dec1892),
James Arlie(1894), Velma, Sallie Mae (1907), Calvin and 3 others.
John Marshall Smith (1892) is my g gdfather(d.9Mar1956, All Fellowship Baptist Church, Stilson,GA)
John Marshall Smith Married Lula Wight(Weight) from Sandersville.
Children Henry Lawson Smith (24Dec1913), William Hansel Smith, Irvin Taylor Smith, James Dorsey Smith.
Henry Lawson Smith was my mothers father, he married Essie Dee Rogers
(Apr1913)from Alamo, Ga in 1931. They had 4 children. My gdfather was killed in an accident in Savannah in 1942. My mother was 10 at the time.
If anyone can help me with William Green Smith's lineage it would be greatly appreciated.
