Anna Snodgrass 22-F-VA prostitute-not my family, just found it amusing!
This is what I have found so far on the Snodgrass family line. Josiah Snodgrass married Margaret Holsapple. Their son Monroe married first Margaret (Mary Jane) Davis, with consent of a guardian because she was under 18 (who was Henry S. Baldwin? A stepfather?). She died abt 5 or 6 years later after giving birth to a son, Andrew Sherman Snodgrass. He married Elizabeth Piper (Widow Haggar) and they had Maude Belle Snodgrass. Still trying to find both the families of Lizzie Piper and Margaret Davis.
Possible family member for Snodgrass/Piper
I found this on Find A Grave, for Clarence Snodgrass Jr.:
Birth: unknown
Death: unknown
Family links:

Spouse:
Zada Jean Snodgrass*

The headstone has his birth year as 1925, and one of Andrew and Lizzie's children was named Clarence b. 1903. This could be his son. I have contacted the person in charge of his grave site (her name is Pieper!), I am waiting for a reply.
Snodgrass/Davis info
Mary Margaret Jane DAVIS married Monroe Snodgrass in 27 Feb 1873. She had two children, a daughter and Andrew Sherman Snodgrass. She died in 1877. Monroe Snodgrass remarried in 1879 or 1880 to Anna Waltman. I still have not found Mary's family:(

Great Free Site
http://wc.rootsweb.ancestry.com will get you to RootsWeb's WorldConnect. This will connect you to a name search of other peoples trees, but be careful of wrong info on other people's GedComs. I found two different names for the first wife of my gggrandfather, now I'm wondering if I have the wrong name. But this is a great site, full of leads just be sure you verify what you find.
Davis Confusion
I am finding so much conflicting information on Mary Margaret Jane Davis I don't even know where to start. Some sites have her listed as Margaret Waltham, I've even found sites that have her married to Monroe Snodgrass in 1856 (the year she was born?). I need to find more information on this person.

Sources list Ann's parents as Sime Ruthven and Margaret Connell, however, the Ruthven Papers list Sime as having no dependants! This is confusing!
On Ann RUTHVEN...
Ann was the daughter of Sime Ruthven and Margaret Connell, born 27 August 1820 in Edinburg, emigrated to the United States in 1839, married Charles Beere in New York City in 1841. She is one of the heirs listed in a sasine for Edinburgh as follows:
"4856 Jul. 6 1824.
Elizabeth Majoribanks Ruthven, Jane Ruthven, Catherine Connell Ruthven, Jessamina Ruthven, William Ruthven, John Ruthven, and Ann Ruthven, children of Sime Ruthven of the Scotsman Office, Edinburgh, siesed, for their respective interests, Jul. 5 1824, - in the north division of a large double tenement with a plot of garden ground in front and a cellar on the north side of Brown street, par. St. Cuthberts; 0- on Disp. by John Brown, formerly farmer, Pennycuik, now residing in Edinburgh, with consent of Robert Penn, builder, Edinburgh, Jun 17, 1823.
(P.R.1024.132)
My note: One problem, the Ruthven Papers list Sime Ruthven as having no descendants.
