I have very little info regarding Bishops of TN, but here is what I do have.
J.H. (Joseph/Joe) Bishop married Evaline Crump in 1898 in Tipton County, TN. They had at least 3 sons who's names are: William Henry born 1901, James Arthur born 1904, and Edgar born 1908. William Henry (who went by Henry) married Lida Mae Richmond in 1919 in Tipton County, TN. Lida and Henry had 6 children, William Henry, Jr, Geneva, Charles Lindsey, James E., Brenda, and Delores Dale (this is my mother)
All were born in TN, including myself.
William Henry and Lida can be found in the 1920 and 1930 census.
Edgar and James Arthur can also be found in the 1930 census. Edgar was living with his brother, William Henry.
James Arthur was living with a family by the name of Whitehorn. All were in Tipton County.
The only info I have for Crump is the following:
Evaline Crump married Joe Bishop in 1898 in Tipton County, TN and had at least 3 sons.
Eva had 2 sisters that I know of, one named Nettie Bell who married Ed Watkins
The other sister's name was Ella who married James Northcut.
They could have been born in MS or TN.
Julia Ann Parker was married first to a R.C? Whitehorn in Tipton County, the year is unknown.
Her 2nd husband was James Henry Clay Richmond (he went by either James or Henry, both have appeared on the census) who was born in 1844 in Jackson County, TN
Julia's date of birth is unk, but could be between 1869-1871, and is believed to have been born in AL.
They had 4 children:
Lida Mae born 1903, TN
Floyd E (Sam) b. 1905?, TN
Myrtle in TN
Clara (Bertha) in TX
John Richmond m. Jane McCann in SC, they moved to Jackson County TN
had several children, one James Richmond m. Alcie Brown, they too had several children.
One names James Henry Clay Richmond b. 1844 married 1st to a Sarah Brashears, they has several children and can be found on the 1880 Census for AR.
In 1900 he married Julia Ann Parker in Tipton County, they has 4 children.
James Henry Clay Richmond went by James and/or Henry at times. He was in the Civil War for the Confederacy and was in the battle of Murphyboro?
I have other info, but too much to write, email me with specifics and I will let you know what I have.
