I'm the Granddaughter of James William Pope,who married Mabel grace Isabelle Church on the 26 June 1918,they had 5 children,the youngest died at 11 mths old.My G-Grandparents names are John James Pope and Margaret Smith Kirkness married in 1897.G-G_Grandparents are John Pope and Elizabeth Ameline,can't find anything on them except the birth certificate of John James.They where all from Southland,NZ.I was told that some of the Popes moved to the North Island,also that there's Maori in the family. I would appreciate any help please as I live in the USA.Thank you Irene.
