My Great Grandfather Charles Finlayson was born to Murdoch Finlayson and a Margaret Dawson. Charles's parents did not marry and I was wondering whether anybody out there can help me. I have looked hard for Murdoch but nothing has come up. I do not know what part of Scotland he came from (big help) - Margaret Dawson came from Drumblade (Forgue) so Murdoch could have been passing by, he could have worked there, he could have lived there. I do not know. I even went on a mission to Abderdeen FHS in 2009 hoping to find something but to no avail. Help please - thank you
