She was an american indian married to Dr Hilario Hongo, one of the first Natchitoches chinese. They had several children: Eli, Joseph, Mary who married Overton Perot, John, and Victoria. They lived in the Campti/Natchitoches LA area. It is said, when the government ran the choctaw out of Louisiana and made them go to Oklahoma, they took Azelie, but did not take her children since they were considered Chinese. I cannot find any information about her parents or siblings nor if she lived through the roundup to go to Oklahoma. She is listed as black on the census of 1860?yr
Any information will be appreciated.

I am looking for lines for Sophronia Swift. She had twins Ollie and Mollie. She died in Louisiana and is buried on an Indian mound in Bosco, LA. After her daughter Mollie died during childbirth, she lived with her son in law Willie Mack Spillers helping raise her grandchildren.
